About

Commercial Property Tax Appeals in Wisconsin

Since 1992

Our Mission

Anyone that owns or manages real estate knows that property taxes can be one of the largest fixed expenses related to ownership, though many owners don’t know if they’re paying too much or not. Our mission is to help clients determine if their property is assessed correctly, and to pursue the best course of action when that is known.

How We Help

We Challenge Assessed Values by applying over 20 years of experience using acceptable appraisal practice to calculate value, and our knowledge of the Wisconsin assessment system to appeal commercial property taxes when necessary.

It’s just as important to know when not to pursue a property tax appeal as well. In Wisconsin, the assessor is presumed correct by law, and it is up to the property owner to prove that the assessor’s value is wrong.

By understanding how value is derived and applied in the assessment process, we can determine for you when it makes sense to pursue an appeal of your assessed value, in order to reduce the taxes you pay.

Paul Fiorello has been with Property Tax Services since 2002, and took over operations in 2005. Paul has successfully appealed over 1,000 commercial properties, and has experience with many different types including Apartments, Office Buildings, Hotels, Restaurants, and many more.

As a Wisconsin Certified Assessor, Paul develops his valuations based on acceptable appraisal practice, as well as the laws, and case law which govern value for assessments in Wisconsin.

Paul has experience presenting cases before municipal Boards of Review, and the Wisconsin Department of Revenue under §70.85, and has continued appeals through litigation with some of Wisconsin’s top attorneys.
